Both the U.S. and Canada are wasting our tax dollars on a dead horse in Lebanon; both Hezbollah and Israel have said it is not over, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink, I believe the leaders of the world have simply taken leave of their senses, they are blinded by power and greed they turn their heads to poverty health and starvation spending billions on outside interests and giving vary little to their own nation, then they have the audacity to stand up and say it is in the best interest for the country and the people, when will they simply clean up their own back yard before they try to clean someone Else's.

Is the USA giving Israel money to rebuild too?

I think we should help Lebanon but 50 million of our tax dollars sounds like too much. There are a number of humanitarian aid organizations already in Lebanon helping. There were innocent people both in Lebanon and Israel who were hurt by this war. It is the right thing to do to help the innocent. But I agree we have lots of problems right here at home that need attention too.

well- 50 million is a drop in the bucket compared to the billions we give to israel. but it's better than nothing, and it's a good gesture.

i agree that charity starts at home, but ya know what? it will never happen.........
i'd like to see 50 million dispersed in our social security accounts, personally.

The least we can do for supporting the horrors Israel wrecked on Lebanon.

Innocents shouldn't be made to suffer for the acts of a few.

We gave a few billion of our tax dollars to supply the weapons that destroyed their bridges, roads and airports. A few more million to support such a fragile, anti-Sryian government doesn't seem poorly spent.

The reality is that this is cheap for what we could gain in terms of better perception on the ground. Aid money is typically more effective than bombs in persuading the population that the US is not full of evil.
