here's a serious question from me for once. while at work, when I have a minute I come onto this site and put up fake questions which I know will make people mad. for example:
"why does my wife have to make such a big deal everytime I sleep with another woman?"
or: "i killed my neighbors cat in a fit of rage... what should I do?"
obviously none of these things are even remotely true and I would never do any of them.

so then why do I find the resulting anger and outrage so amusing? Is it masochism, is it attention seeking, or could I just be bored? I invite you to offer your psychological theories ladies and gentleman.

You are bored with your life and have no amusement other than by irritating others I suppose .... and you probably do this sort of thing in real life as well .... do you?

As long as you aren't hurting anyone I could live with it, but many people probably find it very irritating to be around you if you do the same thing in real life. If you only do it here, I wouldn't worry too much about it .... "people watching" can be a great way to pass time ... people who can see through you will ignore you and those who choose to respond to your outrageous questions probably get upset easily anyway ....

Your fake questions unfortunately are believable too many, simply because there are too many idiots in this world. Ask anyone who has worked with animals, especially rescue and they can tell you that people are cruel. Your fake question about killing the cat happens.

You may find the anger amusing because you know that you've yanked someone chain or it makes you feel like a "master of the universe" making the little people dance at your will.

Perhaps this is a form of release from the boredom / stress of work.

This can amuse all of us, doing the asking, because you relate to our anger. People see themselves in each other, wether good or bad traits. For example, I despise people who drive in the fast lane and go the same speed as the car next to them. But, I realize when I started driving ten years ago, I'm sure I did this to others because I was ignorant, or just being an a**hole.

People have choices: If you're in a sour mood, and look across a room at another face, you'll feel that the person looking back is sizing you up. But, if your mood is cheerful, you will read that same look as curiousity. Your reality is what YOU Make it. ;)

Because there are some people who believe in those stupid statements.

I think you just like to stir up the animlas, as you are a shallow, mean person who enjoys watching other people squirm.

Unless this line of questioning is just as phony and specious as everything else.

You cry "wolf" too often and you get what you have earned

Attention seeking probably. Also you might be getting a feeling of power from pushing people's buttons.

Another interesting question is "why can't people see these questions are obviously a joke?"

I think some people actually believe everything they read on line. I know my sister does. She's basically smart but uber-gullible, and I'm always having to explain to her that something is a joke or a farce. But, to answer your question, it is just funny to see how gullible people can be.

You are attention deprived and the easiest way for you to receive the immediate attention you crave is to obtain it in a negative way.

Much in the same way a housebroken animal will defecate inside in order to obtain attention from it's owner.

Honestly, I do believe you slept with other women and that you actually indeed killed the cat

I am so outraged by that, too angry and insulted to comment any further on this

You're a very boring person and you think you actually have an effect on people when you're asking your questions. Thanx for the two points.
