System Total (Price inclusive of delivery but exclusive of tax) : Rs 37,571.00

a good piece of equipment at that price
1.70 GHz, 2MB Cache, 400 MHz FSB
Windows(R) XP Home Edition
256 MB (1 x 256 MB) DDR2 SD RAM

best add 1 x 256 MB RAM to make it 512 MB RAM, which makes it pretty good !

sure will checkout customs angle
but if u hand carry, there's no problem
+ shipping expenses usa - india dhl / ups should be pretty steep
> does u'r ibm have global warranty
... some factors that came 2 mind

>>> sure will let u know bout customs levies, tho not much presently ( used 2 be around 320 % some 7 to 8 yrs back, now max. should be 30 %, & if u declare it used & undervalue ... u'll end up paying peanuts )
>>> check with DHL / UPS , their charges, insurance included & also mode & time of payment of customs duties

>> dunno wat on earth u mean
the power pack supplied by notebook manufacturers can operate in ANY country in the world !
only problem would be plug / socket shape/size ... a universal adapter from belkin should be around $20 & from local stores $5
_____________ sorry 4 interruption lavin !

A co-worker of mine is from India and bought a DELL to send back home. You have to be sure whatever laptop you purchase that the power pack is capable of handling the power source they use in India (voltage and frequency).

particular it rather is going to artwork. yet for charging you will choose a diverse connector to connect with the mains grant. the provision in Canada is a hundred and ten V 60 Hz and in India it rather is 230 V at 50 Hz
