Me personally my mom is a Foster parent, and she has to put up with a lot of bull. I think in a way that the system is messed up. Because my mom takes kids that their parents have left and are strung out drugs and being abused. They take them away for a couple months and then they let the kids go back with parents and then couple months later they are right back in the system. I feel sorry for the kids. I think that if the kids go to a home that really takes care of them and loves them then that is good it is how it should be. But If the people that take these kids don't really care about them are what happens to them then I don't think they should keep putting kids in those homes. I was a foster child. But i was blessed this was my first home and I was 2 years old. I am now 26 and this is still my home. I have since met my real mom and father(donors) but the people who raised me is my mom and dad.

Foster care is good as far as I can see.
Our son who is now 16 was placed in our arms 16 years ago by his foster care parents and it was the most memorable day of both of our lives.
These people had been doing this for quite a number of years and they enjoyed it very much.
The good part is that there are people out there willing to do this and give joy to others by handing over the child and the down part is that there are others out there just for the money I know cause a cousin was a foster care person and they abused the system.
For the overall foster care is great and I will stand behind it 120%.

Like parents, there are good and bad. There are some foster parents that are just out there for the small amount of money they receive to care for the children - believe me, it is not that much! Others, like myself, do it to give the children in peril or upheaval a place to feel cared for and secure. (My husband and I use the payments we receive to purchase savings bonds for their education

not good.. alot of these foster parents don't treat the children well and they just do it for the $$.. some of them r predators.. plus alot of foster parents don't want to deal w/teenagers or preteens..
i think they need to come up w/a better solution then separating families and putting them w/strangers...

I think it is wonderful that people care enough about children to take them into their homes/care until they either go back home or get out on their own.
