Do you have ink cartridges, are they full, did you take off the protective plastic strip. check these three things and then apply the palm of hand to youre forehead in a swift smacking motion.

Has it ever worked? If not go through the Install for Driver or whatever instructions came with it. Since it would be new, contact the manufacturer at their website for frequently asked questions and try to get the problem resolved with them.

If it used to work but stopped working, first look at the printer itself and make sure the cartridge lamp is not blinking (indicating out of ink or mis-positioned cartridges). If OK, go to Control panel and select Printer. Click on that printer and go to Troubleshooting. Follow the directions.

sounds like you are out of ink or the ink dried up. Try some new ones. If you keep trying to print like this you can screw up your printer permanently.

If you have been trying to print a lot like this, you may already have. It might be cheaper to just get a different printer.

verify to ensure that you've put in the toner cartridge properly. from time to time there's a movie overlaying the electrostatic curler. if that's the case there'll be an orange/yellow or eco-friendly tab sticking out from the end of the toner cartridge.

Remove the cartridge and make sure you removed the plastic strip from the bottom.
