worse, why always an answerfone that charges 10p. Plus they always do this when you are going to meet them! Aaaargh.

No.no.no...
They just tend to do it by habit...Either got the latest phone with a fault that has developed and turned off or they just tend to never have it on when they should.
And why do they text all the time?
Why not get a pager, not some expensive contract with some gimmick and a turning itself off feature...

Example:
Let's meet at such and such as friends are there also. We're going at x time and they may move on later. So you go to meet them when decided, ring them to ask a question where are etc. Hi this is some annoying ansafone message that charges 10p or so... Then five minutes later they ring you. You ring them back; remembering something, phone is out of range...
I just find it so annoying that people spend lots on the latest phone, then leave it in ansafone. I can understand this with a landline. But isn't the point of a mobile to be able to reach the person when you need to?

my phones always on unless i go to bed but there is some places i go when i cant get a signal which is annoying
