because those people do not have large quantaties of oil. Oh and by the way, our government was directly responsible and led the 9/11 attacks

Regarding the WMD's, we all know that Iraq had loads of chemical weapons...as evidenced by the fact that Saddam used them against the Kurds. As far as the other WMD's, it was either bad intelligence or they moved them to Syria before we got there (possible because we basically announced the invasion months before we actually went in there, giving anyone with half a brain the time to hide, move, or destroy anything they had).
As to why we are not in Africa...watch the movie Hotel Rwanda for the reason (Nick Nolte's dialogue to Don Cheadle). I may not like it but the unfortunate truth is that it is as likely a reason as any.
North Korea - They pose more of a threat to Japan and our allies in that region than they do to us, and we are counting on China to play big brother and smack N Korea around if need be.
As for supporting the troops, I agree that we need them out of Iraq if it were possible, but that bridge has been crossed and blown up so we cant go back now. Personally, I was not for invading Iraq since we were not done in Afghanistan.

I agree with you. Bin Laden should have been captured by now. But they have gotten a few, just not as many as we would have liked. Right now, I feel the biggest reason Bush will not bring home our troops because he thinks it will look like we are cutting and running. And it will, but who cares? Men and women are dying on a regular basis, is our ego really more important than their lives? The insurgents in Iraq, contrary to popular belief, are not the ones responsible for 9-11. They are blowing themselves up because number 1, they are ticked off at the American occupation, number 2 want more say in the government that the USA formed for them, and number 3 they feel that their way of life has been threatened. I'm not making excuses for them killing themselves and innocent people, I think it is horrible. I'm just stating the facts. Iraq and much of the middle east do not have the respect for life or the same principles that the west has. All the guns in the world and killing isn't going to change that, if anything it's just adding to their theory that killing is okay. We do need to get out of Iraq, and all the other foreign troops too. Iraq needs to duke it out themselves. The best thing for the US to do is to give them some food, supplies for rebuilding and then get the hey out of there.

Hmm...
We went into Afghanistan and overthrew the Taliban, who were hosting and supporting AlQaeda. We've been fighting and searching for Taliban and Al Qaeda there ever since. Due to the terrain, and the presence of local anti-taliban militias, the coalition forces there did not need to be as large. And a larger force would have been a hindrance.
Where they are seeking al Qaeda is in the deep wilderness mountainous regions - no easy task to find people hiding there.
We have also been going after them using signal intelligence methods, some of which the NYTimes so kindly leaked so our enemies could cover their tracks more effectively. We've been using the full panoply in our arsenal - from military action to diplomatic action to cooperation with foreign intelligence services to other intelligence operations - to find them, disrupt their organizations and to kill them.

after the bombing of the american embassy in Africa1998, Osama Bin-laden was the most wanted man by the US, in 2000 he was treated in a hospital in Saoudi-arabia and there he had the visit of a CIA agent ( whitness a german diplomat who reported it after 9/11 )
Why Bush didn't ask his friend King Fassal to arrest Bin-laden??? I think that Bush went after Saddam to show daddy that he could do better and finish the job . I've seen that documentary about a woman whose husband and older son were killed by Saddam. She regrets Saddam because then she had a home, a pension and her younger children could go to school and walk safe in the streets. Bush didn't bring democratie there only chaos !!! Bringing freedom to Iraq what about in Saoudi-arabia Koweit etc ... China

We are clearly in Iraq because George Bush has his father's agenda in mind when he decided to go after Saddam Hussein. He disillusioned the American people to believe in WMDs so that he could justify invading their country to begin with. When it comes right down to it, it's all about the oil and Dick Cheney's company Halliburton....watch the movie Farhenheit 911....it is very enlightening....most of the men involved in the 911 attacks were Saudis yet we have very close ties to Saudi Arabia...think about that one....

Well, you see...there was this war with Afghanistan to topple the Taliban and kill Al-Queda operatives, the ones responsible for 9/11. You might have missed it reading books that leave out huge chunks of information (like sources and footnotes).

You seem to have overlooked all the work that has been done in Afghanistan. We have troops in South Korea. Don't worry about that. We are doing a lot of work to stop terror. Not all of it is done with a soldier and a gun.

Wow, you are just stupid aren't you? Don't you read that we have troops in Afghanistan hunting down Osama bin Laden? They are going where they are most urgently needed. Obviously you buy in to propaganda of the minority who think they are right and everyone else is lying.
