I am beginning to think more and more that Muslims should not come to the US. It is too different and they don't want to be a part of the American way of life. They would be better off if they stayed in a Muslim country and tried to make peace.
They come here but they still want to maintain their style of dress, and sharia law ect. This country is not founded on that principle and trying to make this a muslim country will only start a civil war..
I really think they would be happier and we would have less stress in the USA if they stayed in a Muslim country.. Sorry to say that and it is not to offend but the truth ...

Went to the store yesterday and saw a Muslim family. All dressed up like nuns and the only ones there dressed that way, as it was a hot day.. My wife is afraid of them because of the terrorist killings in the paper every day. She doesn't want to be near them. I can only imagine what it is like at school. They can never be a part of our society when they are like that.
That is why 16 million illegal Mexicans can disappear into the USA and no one knows, they just become like any other american. The Muslims don't do that..

The truth is that they need to adopt the American way of life and put away their Middle East clothing. We are not in the middle east and they came here, we didn't go there to change them.

That's a good question. There may be some culture shock, but if they are open minded, they should be appreciative of the freedom to be who they want to be. I get offended sometimes, but don't say anything because then that would be putting my own opinion before someone else's freedom to express. As long as no one is hurt by anyones deeds or actions or words, they should be ok.

Sure. Anyone can be offended by anything. I am offended when people insult me, and so many other things. That's the beauty of the west, you can voice your opinion and not get shot.

Not offended but the right word is surprised. everyone has their own way to live. as long as it doesnt affect them directly they dont need to be offended. It comes as a shock because of the culture and background they come from.

If they do, then they have no business coming here in the first place. You move to a new home country, you can certainly keep your customs and traditions alive but they should not try to impose their values on others.
No immigrant should do that no matter what race or nationality. They should adapt to their new surroundings and not vice versa.

No, they should adopt to the Western way of life. Every established society has its own dress, ethics, behaviour codes and immigrants should respect the hospitality shown by their new countries. In our homes we can do as we all wish yet out in the public we have to respect the LOCAL culture. This also applies to tourists and other types of travellers!!!!!
