Is it shameful that you are already excited about Christmas? I don't think so. I'm excited too, and I'm really looking forward to it.(ask me about it on December 26th and you'll likely get a different answer)Expectations for the Christmas season are always high. Christmas is a major holiday and takes a lot of preperation. For instance, Santa and his crew have been busy for months with their preperations. The elves have been making toys for months and the reindeer practice their touch and gos almost weekley. Rudolf has been trying to teach Chet how to fly, and he is getting better, but I'm not sure he will be ready by Christmas Eve.
Away from the North Pole, most merchants have been prepairing since before Memorial day, ordering merchandise so it will be in place by November. Christmas for most merchants is when they will do the biggest share of their yearly trade, so they are excited about it. Mall Santas for the most part have had their mall assignments for months. Malls that wait till October or November will not get the pick of the litter, so to speak. Natural bearded Santas always go early.
I know of one major chain store that has had their artificial Christmas trees and Christmas decorations in their warehouses since February.
Then there is the excitement of all the decorations in peoples home, around town and at the mall.
Let's face it. It is the world's biggest birthday party.
So, no it is not shameful, in fact it sounds like you have the start of some good Christmas spirit. Just keep it up,have fun, and have a great holiday season.

P.S. I mailed my Santa contract back to my company before Easter, so I'm good to go.

No, I love that time of year when people come together and break bread and make it about something bigger than ourselves. Giving is a beautiful part of this holiday season and the meaning behind the giving means so much more. The three kings gave presents of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to baby Jesus and now we give gifts to our love ones in honor of that blessed day. I'm excited about it already! I love the Christmas lights and decorations as well. Merry Christmas!

Shameful? NO! Shame is such a dorky emotion. The people who say yes are the ones who ought to be ashamed! They're so judgemental!
To me Christmas is and always has been sheer joy. I'm with you! It's always exciting.
Merry Christmas to you!

I still have a Christmas wallpaper on my computer and have played Christmas music already. It is my favorite time of the year. I am gonna order gift wrap in about a week or 2 from the school even. It is that time again. Feliz Na Vi Dad

Kindof early for that but not shameful. The stress will be enough when it comes. People should just have dinner with the folks or relatives and give presents only to the children IMO or something real simple like drinking mugs. Its about the Lord. Its HIS birthday.

Of course not! It's the best! Just don't fall for all that Dept store
hocus they toss at us, ruining the real meaning of this wonderful holiday! They make it too commercial and the real fun is in the feelings and closeness we all share at that time. And I can't wait to decorate the tree, although it seems like I took down last year's only a short while ago! :-))

It depends on why you're excited. If your excited about bringing joy to the less fortunate thorugh donations or volunteerism then no. If you're excited because you love to spread holiday joy by doing things like caorling then no.

If you're excited becaues people are going to buy you stuff then yes it is shameful and shallow.

summer's is not even over yet... too much emphasis is put upon christmas and if you have problems in your family (like me) and a lot of other people out there then it is a time to dread!! as it just makes you feel more down about your situation when you see everyone else so happy and enjoying themselves. i do hope you have a great christmas though, good will to all!!

Maybe a little, but it's coming up fast. And if you're so excited that you are already buying gifts, you'll be much more relaxed when it gets here and will be able to enjoy it instead of stressing about it.
