An IQ below 30 is considered to be illiterate. Anything above 120 is good. Genius....I guess anything above a 132.

Intelligence testing began in earnest in France, when in 1904 psychologist Alfred Binet was commissioned by the French government to find a method to differentiate between children who were intellectually normal and those who were inferior. The purpose was to put the latter into special schools. There they would receive more individual attention and the disruption they caused in the education of intellectually normal children could be avoided.

An intelligence quotient or IQ is a score derived from a set of standardized tests of intelligence. Intelligence tests come in many forms, and some tests use a single type of item or question. Most tests yield both an overall score and individual subtests scores. Regardless of design, all IQ tests measure the same general intelligence. Component tests are generally designed and chosen because they are found to be predictable of later intellectual development, such as educational achievement. IQ also correlates with job performance, socioeconomic advancement, and "social pathologies". Recent work has demonstrated links between IQ and health, longevity, and functional literacy. However, IQ tests do not measure all meanings of "intelligence", such as creativity. IQ scores are relative (like placement in a race), not absolute (like the measurement of a ruler).

100 is the mean, or the average IQ. The standard deviation of the IQ scale is 15 points; a large majority of the population has an IQ between 85-115, which is usually deemed as normal. I believe below 70 is mentally retarded and above 130 is considered to be very gifted. So you have a perfectly average IQ!

110 puts you at the 74.8th percentile. Meaning, you scored higher than 74.8% of the population!

Not to shabby of a score. It would be considered boderline average/above average.

IQ scores are all compared relatively to other people. 100 is the average score, so above 100 is above average and under it is below.

However, statistically there seems to be flaws as the worlds average IQ actually seems to be closer to 90.

As mentioned before, 100 is average so an IQ of 110 is above average.

anything over 100 is cool. (80's not so good- 130's very good)

Typically the IQ results are a total IQ. The IQ test is designed to test certian area's of brain development (abiltiy to compute, processing speed, comprehension, etc.) so someone may have very fast processing speed but are very bad at math (a lot of athletes). It is best to see all of the scores not just the overall.

it's a normal distribution (bell curve), with the average score at 100, and 1 standard deviation being 15. Roughtly 2/3 of people will be within 1 standard deviation, and about 95% will be within 2 standard deviations (70-130).

Basically you're above average.

About average. . . as 90% of all tested fall between the "bell curve" range90-130. I've tested several times as well and tend to average about 148. Whats it mean...who knows? I like the Discovery channel, art, music and fast cars & fast girls.
