Once you are on Internet , like writing this question for Yahoo! Answers, you can check the status of tickets availability in the class of travel of your choice and many more things by visiting the Indian Railways website at http://www.indianrail.gov.in/ round the clock.This will make you more independent and self-sufficient.
The Indian Railways book tickets only 60 days in advance of the date of travel. Therefore, the entire reservation is free and available as on this 18th Day of Aug 2006 for your train.

yes, right now all tickets are available. reservations can be done 60 days in advance , journey date not counted so the earliest you can book is the 19th of August.. Also you have not mentioned which class you need the tickets for.
you can book your tickets online for a small fee at www.irctc.co.in
would need a debit or credit card.
or you can also ask a travel agent to book for you as soon as the booking starts.

Reservations are possible only 60 days in advance.
Online reservations can be done anytime between 0800hrs and 2200hrs IST at the sites www.irctc.com or www.srailway.com
If you are visiting the site for the first time, you are supposed to register your details before attempting for reservation.

Get registered in irctc.co.in and then check yourself and book ticket from your home. For checking you can use your mobile as well as most service provider has a railway enquiry.
