Whether it came out in late 2005 or 2006 ( I cant remember, too early) - I think V for Vendetta beats all.

I think the best movie that came in theaters this year was Pirates of the Caribbean 2. Scary Movie 4 was a good movie too. But for horror The Omen I guess would be a big one for 2006.

Saw 2 isnt really a horror movie and exorcism of emily rose was just nuts. there were so many but i think at the current moment exorcism was the best cause lady in the water again was just a stupid movie by m Night

the best well it's hard for me to say the best because it takes a real GOOD one to scare the h*** out of me and I haven't seen one that has done that in years.. But if I would have to choose one that I have saw this year it would be Saw 2.. (DVD)
although not as good as 1, it was worth watching..
House Of 9 was pretty good too.

The hills have eyes had to be most gruesome movie i have seen, but the rest of the movies made this year weren't as scary, i thought, and they just lacked that extra something that would have made me poo my pants...the best movie overall had to be pirates of the carribean, and it was long and inconclusive but it was still really good..oh and maybe X3
