Please note, our is a manufacturing co. and not a IT company.

A manager IT management support would be someone with the technical knowledge of the various systems the particular organisation is running. In addition to this, the person will require to posses the general qualities of a manager. As a support manager, the person requires good interpersonnal skills and a deep understanding of the business unless it be a computer firm.

I would say that you would be managing personnel that support the various equipment in the manufacturing facility.

So, you would manage people that are responsible for maintaining the plants monitoring and support systems. These will be embedded devices like PLC's that run various operating systems.

knowing the machines are running right and taking charge over other people and knowing your stuff and making things run the way their supposed to be run.
