Do you think that the current exhibition of the Holocaust cartoons in Teheran would turn into a big scandal if there had been no Muhammad drawings?

The situation is kinda funny to me... I can picture well that many people now in the West are holding themselves back from criticising Iran, because we Europeans would seem hypocrites... Is it tantalising for you?

I read my question and some may find it offensive, so let me add that it the Iranian exxhibition has a very mean motivation. I just find the situation funny.

Actually since it's in a country that well let's face it is rather culturally backwards and really stagnant when it comes to modern day way of thinking the whole concept is well...rather like school yard mentality.

People in the west have been drawing caricatures of the Holocaust for decades.

Its not the caracatures that are the problem, its what taste they are done in.

A cartoon praising people getting shoved into ovens is going to be criticized no matter who draws it, where or when.

A cartoon of the word Israel, with the L drawn as a boot stepping on the world, just isn't very offensive. I've seen much worse political cartoons.

Anti-Israel and Anti - jewish cartoons from the arab world are nothing new. Nothing has been said to them about these, so why would anything change?

I don't understand what was offensive about Muhammed's cartoons. And I don't understand why there should be an uproar because of cartoons in Iran, if at the same time children in US schools are contaminated with Philip Cohen's lies about Serbs who "cooperated with the Nazis" during WW2 and "only tens of thousands" of victims in the Jasenovac Death Camp (the real number of victims there was more then half a million, but it is "not important" in the US, because most victims were Serbs & Roma-NOT JEWS).

A big scandal for who? The Iranians? No of course not. It is perfectly alright for them to insult, degrade, destroy, kill, or otherwise discriminate against anybody that is not a Muslim. Hasn't that been made clear yet?

Really?... Holocaust cartoons, like funny papers? Not drawings or artist renditions? I would have to see them first to react.

Haven't seen or heard about these cartoons. But, as the holocaust is fake, who cares about the cartoons.
