Because some people don't understand that touching certain areas, foreplay, is messing with dangerous fire! Hormones get so strong that you pretty much forget any inhibitions you had. So plenty of people will touch their partner and somehow not realize that once you start doing that, the clothes are coming off. Or maybe they 'trust' their partner not to take them too far?

I think they are emotionally saying they don't know how it happened.
For alot of women I believe it is the emotionally feeling of being needed and/or wanted.
They let emotions get the better of them.
Their brains shut down and they aren't thinking logically.
There isn't a woman out there that does not like to be flattered, to be told she is beautiful, and such.
So the men play on our emotions.

It is because the person had sex purposefully. He or she just thinks that the other person will fall for the excuse that hormones were that uncontrollable at the time.

because in the heat of the moment, your hormones are going crazy. you don't think to clearly and after it's over, you you don't know why you were thinking the way you did.
