Definately - and everybody else. ie/ mu hubby works in a residential home and the resident pay £800-1500 per week to stay there and the owners STILL pay as little as possible and bring in as few staff as possible. So Money making people/companies put profits before EVERYTHING.

Of course, that's what the business is for, if they are a big business their first duty is to their shareholders.
This doesn't mean that they have to treat their workers badly. In fact it is probably not in their best interests to do that. I f they want loyalty and co-operation from their workers it is best to treat them reasonably.
You get more out of people if you treat them well.

yes.. definately..i speak from my own experience but i'm sure there are some out there who do care more about their staff..thats the thing..you sometimes gotta be a cold b*****d on the outside to keep a business going..skin of elephant and all that malarky.

A lot of places do, such as Wal-Mart and Target. They have ridiculously low prices, which in turn leads to ridiculously low wages.
