If you mean by dating women older than 35....I feel they are playing it "safe" and NOT looking for a mother figure particularly.

Many women are still very attractive AND stylish as they get older...and with todays media pushing surgical techniques, working out, and older models like Elle MacPherson and other celebs etc STLL looking great....why wouldnt a young intelligent guy want to date her?

Still, looks arent everything, ugly is as ugly does at any age..... and one is bound to emotionally connect to someone who isnt pressuring him, moreso, than someone who wants what he doesnt want, right now.

Many men, aged 21, do not want to nor can they concieve OF having children....then or for the foreseeable future (though if she's already got some....he could probably handle that as its not yet 24/7 part of his existence). Older women also are not so keen on full-on commitment (or dont really expect it) with someone so young...as a longterm partner because its just supposed to be for fun. However fidelity is expected on both sides...and the guy is more likely to have her being faithful if she's already had a few relationships. I'm not saying that some relationships, with such an an age gap, dont trangress to more...many do because there are fewer expectations.

Many 21 year olds have had their fill of teen dramatics during highschool or at home with their sisters or rejection/uncertainty AND the girls wanting babies in the foreseeable future, expecting them to pay for everything and turmoil re wanting him to be able to afford a home/kids/wedding etc. Even if he's got a job...maybe he just doesnt want to deal with anything but pleasure without too much pressure for another 10 years or more? If he falls in love with an older woman.....she's less likely to fling it back in his face or demand marriage? So again....if a guy chooses to date older women...his priority is himself for now....and he's not inlove with anyone, so why shouldnt he delve into unknown and what could be enlightening/interesting and skilled territory?

When I was 21 - 23 I dated older women only. They were more mature and I had a lot more in common with them compared to girls my age. Even now some years later I still find it difficult to find a girl my age that I have things in common with to go beyond being a friend.

I know that many are less questioning of a man dating a woman considerably younger than himself but some young men like older women for reasons which are perfectly normal. If, however, a young man has a fixation (psychological term) on them, going out exclusively with a series of matronly women, he may want to think about why he does so.

Since females mature much faster, I would say that the women are looking for something young, though Tadpoling is popular. Properly, a male shouldn't be dating at all, he lacks good decision making, and maturity. He should start at 27, with a 21 year old girl. They would be on the same maturity level.

Under 21 you are not even allowed legally to drink . He may want a woman that he can take out to the clubs and not be worried about getting turned away at the door because she is under-age .

Well, it is all a matter of taste...if that is how you feel, then go for what makes you feel good. You will usually find a bevy of older womeon who would be interested, I am sure!
The younger girls will just get over it & move on!
How do you feel about a 48 year old???? ;-)

Age doesn't matter. If you want to date an older woman, that is up to you. Go with what your heart feels, not by what other people want you to do.

Legally he can't go with anyone under the age of 18 and if he finds his fancy with older woman then that's their own prerogative. Maybe he likes a more mature woman who is in control, maybe he likes that fact of more experience...Who knows??
