Notebooks are simply smaller in terms of sizes (and performance) than laptops in general.


"Laptop: A portable computer small enough to use on one's lap.

Notebook: A light, portable computer that is generally thinner than a laptop.

Even according to Webopedia, laptop computers are more frequently called notebook computers, though technically laptops are somewhat smaller in size than notebooks."

A notebook is a marketing term coined by HP/Compaq in the 90's to identify itself from the rest of the laptop market.

laptop is the same thing as a notebook.

on the laptop notebook you can take a note that is like you are writing on the piece of notebook paper...
the ordinary laptop... you cant do suck a thing like that...
and notebook computers has much more programs....

@ nakitamaganda : What answer you have given? What you mean by take a note? And how can you say notebook has more programs than laptop? Please answer with some logic and answer if you know what it is.

notebook is more compact and its like ur agenda.... laptop its just a computer where u can move it anywhere without any problem.

Laptop - personal computers that are small and light enought to put on your lap
Notebook - a book that you usually write notes on it in school
