Why bother with a name? I'm not in it for the publicity. I just want to save lives, prevent crime when possible, stop crime when necessary, and help people when they are in trouble.
I figure that criminals will call me what they want to, and so will the media. (They don't count. They are just trying to use me to make money off of publicity associated with me. I don't need publicity for my work.) The same goes for people who want me to endorse their products or services.
Actually, I would license one non-profit organization, with the understanding that it was to be an exclusive license and that any money that came in as a result of the use of my name or distinctive image or characteristics would be donated to worthy causes to help people. And they would have the responsibility for prosecuting those who tried to rip people off using my name or distinctive image, etc. That would free me up from having to fool around with the courts to do the things that only I can achieve.
But by far the best approach is to remain as secret as possible.
I might write letters to the editor, mocking those who claim to have seen the 'hero' as like unto those who see Elvis and Bigfoot.
If the public does not take my existence seriously, it is less likely that criminals would take precautions against me. Makes my job easier.

The Pink Lady - my outfit would be tight, short and pink, showing the double D's off to perfection, i would be able to fly at the speed of light and stop time. i would have a super powered black panther as my accomplice who could morph into anyone or anything . men would drool, women would gasp in awe and we'd save the world baby!!
