Ghandi and Sister Teresa.

Both made huge sacrifices themselves to help other people, put up with much adversity, did not take advantage of others (so far as I know) to accomplish their goals, and generally improved the lot of their national community.

I do not know if they were perfect or not but I think some of their contributions helped make India a better place to live. That is part of being a great place, and probably the point of it.

How about Vijay Amritraj. If I misspelled the name forgive me. He was darn good tennis player and was in " The Spy Who Loved Me", as 009.
