Yes. Even in His day, Jesus was the most rejected person around. His family called Him crazy, because they couldn't understand some of his teachings. Nowadays, the secular world wants to cut out any mention of Jesus in everything printed , or spoken.You're not even suppose to greet someone by saying, Merry Christmas anymore, it is POLITICALLLY INCORRECT.

In American society no it is still going strong, though the percentages of attendances have gone down a they are still around the 50% mark.

In other developed countries the need for religion is going down. America has the highest attendace rate out of other countries which are at the same socio economic point as we are. Religion has been declining in developed countries, though the U.S. is still far ahead of other developed countries in retaining a religious awareness.
