yes! if the 3rd had no sexual organs like an angel, and was there to be your friend not be a male and dump you or be a female and steal your boyfriend, just a caring loving human with no sexual desires.

And what would be the purpose of the third gender? You have to have a male and a female to reproduce. That's why they exist. What would be the function of the 3rd?

No because then you would have to have THREE people in every marriage and the costs of medical care and retirement benefits would put EVERY GOVERNMENT IN THE WORLD out of business and we would end up in menage a trois anarchy.
