It can take down redness and swelling overnight, if you have the old-fashioned mint-flavored-paste kind. But Clearasil or something is still best.

Actually, I have used Crest brand toothpaste for a couple of years to get rid of pimples that have just randomly popped up and I have gotten better results than Clearasil. I don't know if it's because it was just a breakout and not really acne, per say, but I've never had one not go away. Just squeeze a little on a Q-tip after you wash your face and use astringent, and then spread it on there before bed.

Toothpaste can clear up spots but do not rub it into your face, just put it on the affected area. Make sure you are using the plain white toothpaste, using other kinds may increase the risk of getting an allergic reaction I think. But then again, toothpaste is precisely that, for your teeth, so it's still safer to use something specifically for the face.

somehow by making the pimple dry faster. but i suggest that you try to find a product that will exfoliate your skin gently, it will clear up the acne mark and will give you a new skin

That is a joke somebody has told you. You are too gullible! Soon they will tell you that drinking your own pee is good for endurance. Do not believe this.
