The meaning of life to me is that we are here to learn to love and respect ourselves for who we really are and to learn from our mistakes so that we can understand and help others in similar situations. We are also here to learn how to follow our hearts and to believe in ourselves and our dreams and make them come true and to shine our light into the world and help others without expecting anything in return.

I hate to break it to you, but there is no point. Not an official one at any rate. But doesn't not mean your actions are with out consequence. Spreading love is a good thing, spreading hate and destruction (the human default behaviour) is a bad thing. Based on that simplistic view of life, be nice. There is your point, everything you do has an impact, EVERYTHING so you either help or harm. Suicide due to the pointlessness of life goes into the harm category as it will destroy the lives of those that love you so it really isn't an option.

Let's pretend for a preposterous second God exists. Does that suddenly create a meaning of life? No. If Jesus appeared infront of me right this second he would still need to explain to me the reason for life and what he would say is what I said, cause no harm and be a force for good.

The meaning of life. God made people so that he could have a family. ie children. We are all his creation and the purpose for creating human beings is to have fellowship with the creator. We are the only beings on this planet that are able to talk an eligible language. That language whatever language you speak is for the main purpose of talking with God, the secondary usage is to talk with one another. God is love, and that is our second purpose to love Him back and then love our fellow man. I say man in the biblical sense which actually means mankind, (includes woman). God so loved the world (people) that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on him should have everlasting life. John 3:16. Read Romans 10:9 & 10 and do what it says and you will find the meaning to life and you will find God.

various view points - 1 - there is no meaning to life - you live you die - end of story. 2 - you live this life the best you can and then approach the after life hopefully having improved on your previous life 3 - you are here just to procreate so that life goes on.
Take your pick - there will never be a definate answer so choose the one that makes you feel the best.

I promise that every answer you read on Yahoo Answers is wrong because no one person out there can tell you what the meaning of life is. Refer to the movie City Slickers when Billy Crystals character ask the meaning of life and Curly puts up his finger. That is the meaning of life.

Life is a series of yes and no's, coupled with joys and sorrows, which in and of ourselves we can not fully understand. For this reason God has made himself readily available to all who seek him, abandoning the questions of what and why and adjusting their sights on the how and when. I urge you to read Ephesians 1 and 2 in the Bible. I can't tell you what to believe because that would be wrong, but it can help to give you a different perspective on things. In Christ you been given a free gift of liberty. I hope this comment reaches you in good spirits. God Bless

You don't ask such questions on the internet...

The meaning of life would ultimately depend on you. No one can tell you what to think and how to make your life meaningful. Anything people can say in a few pages would be limited, biased, even wrong.

It takes a lifelong balanced discernment and discourse with other people, with experience, with acting according to your values, to determine meaning.

You don't ask such questions on the Internet.

The mean of life doesn't complete by what I type but rather must be felt by individuals themself and when one finds that meaning completely one ceases to exist. The meaning of life is to find the love within oneself for you see my friend love is the tresure and life is the pathway to this tresure one seeks.
