Whether people answer my question with a serious answer, go off topic, or baffle the h ell out of me with their answer, I find that yes, I am satisfied with the answers I recieve because each time I ask a question, I am shown proof of what a diverse world we live in, and I am reminded that not everyone has the same point of view. Sometimes that goofy or off the wall answer is exactally what I needed to change my own attitude my problem, or the serious answer was a different point of view that I had not taken into consideration, or the off topic answer gives me insight into a different situation that I had been wondering about, but hadn't posted a question on. I think Y!A is a very good idea as long as you are able to keep in mind that you will not always get the answer you are expecting. Of course, not everybody realizes that, so it really isn't for everyone. And yes, I often discuss Y!A with friends and family, and I have even posted a ? my mom was curious about. Heck, I even talked about it with the lady who cut my hair last week, and she was intrigued with the idea!!

I've only asked one question and I was very pleased with the responses. The answers actually helped a lot, it was helpful to read what other people thought. I discussed the question and the answers with friends and family afterwards.
So in the long run, I think yahoo answers was a great idea. I think it's wonderful to be able to help anybody in need of it or to just simply have fun! And I've also learnt quite a bit too.

Me thinks you are a more serious person than your everyday Yahooer. That's fine,of course. I happen to believe that most of the people on this site are RULED by their hormones. They are 14-19 year olds who are somewhat out of control. Like many people of that age group, these days, they speak without really thinking. They show little, if any, respect to anyone, and they are enamored with their cell phone, ipod and their boyfriend/girlfriend of the MOMENT. I enjoy this site because of the fun I receive from putting together my questions, and then from the responses I receive. I also enjoy some questions, myself. It's just a fun site, certainly not a philosphical gathering of great minds.
