"Hump Day" equates to Wednesday.

An English language idiom for Wednesday is "hump day", a reference to making it through to the middle of the work week as getting "over the hump". It is also unofficially (and with some irony) referred to as "the peak of the week".

The term "hump day" was first used by the media on a Minneapolis, Minnesota radio station in 1965. It was thought to have been originated by an employee of Pako Corporation.

How do I know this??? Because I'm addicted to wikipedia and Yahoo Answers. :-)

Wednesday is Hump Day because it's the middle of the work week, as if to imply that Monday through Wednesday are an uphill battle that levels off by Wednesday afternoon, after which you coast a little easier through Thursday and Friday, to the weekend.

LOL...it refers to getting over that proverbial hump in the road and that the journey from there on will be much smoother. Being that Wednesday is that joyful day that separates the work week from , "Ugh it's Monday!" to ""Friday, Friday, Friday!!!".
