If you're seeking a degree in accounting, follow the degree requirements imposed by your college. Your college advisor can help you decide which course[s] you need to take next and help you plan.

If you plan to get an AA Accounting degree, then you would qualify for an entry-level job as a clerk or bookkeeper. Courses that might be required would include income taxes, business statistics, and a computer course of some sort in addition to beginning and intermediate accounting courses.

If you're going for a 4-yr degree, make sure the courses that you take are transferable to the 4-yr program.

If you're going for a CPA, be aware that the course requirement is 150 credits, plus you must pass the CPA exam.
