Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is always the day before Ash Wednesday (Catholic religion), the first day of lent, whenever that falls. So, it's anytime in February and sometimes March. The main parades always start two saturdays before, and the huge parades are between the second saturday and Mardi Gras.
If anyone has a question about Mardi Gras, then you can email me. I've been to 22 Mardi Gras's (every year of my life, he he).

first of all - it's Mardi Gras, which means Fat Tuesday. It only comes once a year. 40 days before Easter I believe. It marks the day before Lent begins.
It's a great party in South Louisiana! Yee Haa
