Careful planning. Some of the costumes are designed to look different inside out or with parts rolled up or folded a different way.
Some are thin layers that can be quickly removed- when each costume is skimpier than the last, this is probably the technique being used.
Other costumes are quick-on or -off, usually using Velcro, magnets, etc. Sometimes parts of the costume are attached inside the curain or covering used to hide the person.
By varying the techniques, using a great routine, and having sheer skill, they can do an incredible show!

I can't tell you that because it is a magic secret but if you want to research it check out Yasuda . I do 2 different versions of the act along with lots of other magic illusions and I can tell you it isn't velcrow and it isnt easy. I am a little sad to see that jerk on Americas got talent as there are other quick Change artists that are better out there.
