I use to teach people how to insert contacts.
What I have always done is this:
Sit or stand in front of the mirror, with your left hand use your thumb and index fingers to hold open your eye.
With your right hand.....Put the contact on the very tip of your index finger.(make sure you have it the right way, it should look like a bowl)
When inserting the contact it seems to be easier for beginners to turn their eyeball outward (look towards the opposite direction with the eye your putting the contact in) and very gently put the contact on the eye.
Then release the eye and very slowly start moving your eyeball around to get the contact settled.
Make sure you clean your lenses and your hands extremely well before inserting contacts.
Also know that sometimes the solution will make your eyes burn for just a little while, but it usually goes away.
And also make sure you use a contact that is hydrated extremely well.
Once you get the hang of it, it is a snap and you will be able to pop them in without even looking.

You should be able to get the best advice from the opticians that supply you with the lenses. No question is stupid when it comes to safe eye-care, so make sure you ask everything you want to know, until you feel confident you can manage.

Place the contact on your index finger. Put your middle finger under your eye and pull down gently while you look right at the contact lens, just put it in. Once you have done it a few times, it will be easy.
