I think it's the most beautiful country in the world. The people are warm and friendly. The culture is so magnetic and vibrant. The cities are alive with passion. It's hard not to want to be a part of it. The mountains and beaches play hosts to clear waters , warm sands and beautiful fauna and flora. It makes one want to praise God and thank Him for placing his hand on the country and blessing it with beauty.

I do believe it is a garden of opportunity. We need to nourish and water the potential. And as with gardens, there are some weeds that needs to be taken out by the roots. South Africa's weeds being crime and AIDS at this point. But I do believe that the people of the Rainbow Nation can do wonders. Just look at the struggles they've already endured. How they rose above it all and claimed their freedom!

I love this country so much it hurts when I speak of it, because I'm not there to be a part of it. I live in Korea and only go home once a year. But the one month I do get to go home refreshes me in such a way that the other 11 months fly by so quickly.

Hello there!

I live in South Africa. I couldn't be more happier!! I love this country and i would never move away!

South Africa is a very strong country! We are known as the Rainbow Nation because are one of the countries with the most race groups. South Africa has been through so much with Apartheid and i would love to see each and everyone of the South Africans move on from those horrible times when Apartheid occurred. Once we can get over that and join as one again this country would be perfect!

South Africa is a large country with many different peoples, regions, and a history, geography, anthropology and sociology that many outside of the region ignore. Americans are similar in ways to South Africans but Americans ignore the realities of this great country.

I think South Africa needs to manage better the AIDS question, but they are doing the best they can with the resources they have. Some South Africans need to realize they can't leave everything to the government. Democracy and social justice begins in the home, in the neighbourhood, in the township.

I think South Africa has a promising future. I would love to travel there and learn about South Africa. It is possible that South Africa will be a major power in the continent and Southern Hemisphere in the next century. The economy will improve, if South Africa can achieve social justice, succeed in the truth and reconciliation hearings, and manage foreign policy with its less fortunate neighbours.

I was born and raised in SA for the first 19 years of my life. I think it has a lot of potential and could be one of the best countries in the world, but due to rampant crime and corruption, there is no hope for them, at least until they can get things under control.

What SA needs is for everyone to stop using Apartheid as an excuse to hate everyone and harm them. We should all accept what happened in the past, acknowledging that is was a disgusting and tragic thing that happened, but that we should move forward and find a way to live together harmoniously and build our country into something the whole world can envy.

I hear great things about it's tourism. It is suppose to have great beaches are great safaris. However, I hear that the cities are very dangerous and that they have a lot of crime.

I think it is a great country. I hope that the politicians work to weed out some of it's problems.

I left there about 2 years ago and I don't plan to go back. It is a beautiful country, with lots of nice people, but the crime forced me out.
