How much should someone in their early twenties be earning. Presuming they have been in education and am settling down in a career. Bearing in mind in Leeds and not somewhere like London where they earn loads. I know someone who is twenty and works in London and takes £28,000.

I don't know about Leeds, but Southampton I'd say £15k-£21k. Leeds being further North might be a little less.

I expect to leave uni and go into a £20k job.

Proberbly start at £6.00/hour, then anything over that. all depends on the Job you are doing,a nd how good you are at it.

We live in Sheffield, my wife is on £17k working at a good job in the Council, and she is 35.

Yes is you are a graduate you may get on a program starting at £20k, but you still have to earn that money once you are in though the door.

Depends on what job you do. Clearly your wage would be different if you worked in a shop to if you worked in an office etc.

I would say that it depends on the job that you do and what is you age. Do you have experience in a job or do you have extra education for the job that you are doing.
