That was the doing of natural selection, not God. Dark skinned people are just more likely to thrive in places where they get more direct sunlight, like around the equator.
Since light skinned people can survive just as well away from the equator (not so much sunburn, skin cancer and all that|), that is where they thrived.

I like to think He made people in different colors for the reason He made flowers in different colors, they are all beautiful in different ways. Red is my favorite color, but if all flowers in the world were red, it would be boring after a while, I think God loves variety. Like I said, that's what I like to think, but that doesn't make it a fact, it's something I'm unsure about, when my son asked me this, I wasn't too sure what to say, but this is what I thought of. God bless you!!

God likes variety, look at the rest of creation. The different trees with different leaves, flowers, animals. God loves variety and color. Anyway skin color is determined by the amount of melanin in your skin. If you have freckles, that is the effect of melanin. In fact, if you read the Bible, people are not identified by skin color, but by nation, tongue and tribe. Thus, skin color is superfluous, and is a man made conception for distinction.

because of the same reason he made people with different minds
, differenet high , weight , knowledge , different in sex etc,

we r different in alot of things and r also the same in alot of things

that is the only reason will make us need for each other
if we were the same in all we would not need for each other and every one can live in his own world and that is not what god created us for .. we must react with others and that will not happen without difference

Different colours? We all are just different shades of brown. :P

If some of us were blue like the smurfs, than yes, we would be different colours.

No body knows exactly, but in my opinion each and every human being got his unique color which is suitable to his environment -the place where he live- dark color in hot place will be fine but more white will suffer ..and you can think of other examples...

diversity of colors suits our different environments..

people have been brought up in different environments...that dictates skin color....and perhaps god created people of different skin color to teach tolerance...to teach that nobody is different or better because of their skin color

maybe somebody should teach republicans about this one

for the same reason me made all the animals look different, so things don't look the same, how boring would that be if everything looked the same.
