NO! Down's syndrome occurs as a result of non-dysjunction of chromosme 21 during meiosis and has its largest effects during embryonic development. There have been arguments for the localized "somatic non-dysjunction" as being responsible for some adult onset disorders but the data are not utterly compelling at this point.

no! down's syndrome is caused by a genome mutation, the 21st chromosome is there three times instead of twice. basically, no matter how old you get, you'll never grow and extra chromosome, these things are congenital.
