If you are as brave as your screen name depicts (Lion Hearted) then you should just be brave and approach him/her politely and express your feelings. If they feel the same about you then ask them out on a date.
Start small, a light snack and a movie or if you are old enough and drink then a couple of drinks at a local bar to loosen up a bit and get comfy with each other's presence. If the outcome is positive then take it from there and you will get the hang of it!

In fantasy land, things are going great between both of you - married, kids, house and enough debt to manage. In reality you are asking for trouble asking that person out. If both of you are in similar status on the organizational chain not bad, but one is higher than the other even worse. We are trying to warn you about what life will be like if things go bad

You don't! You would be asking for trouble. Never date anyone where you work. What if you guys break up? And then you have to see this person everyday? In the words of Dr. Evil, the situation might "get weird".

If I were you I wouldn'dt go out with him. If it goes sour you'll have to put up wuith looking at his face everyday. But if you really want to, try this: (it's a bombshell!)
"Hi (fill in his name here!)! Would you ever go out wuith a co-worker?"
Let's say he says yes..."Of course I would!"
"Then what do you think of going out with me Saturday night?"
Wait for reaction and you're done!

Trust me, not a real good idea, but then again I do believe that you can find love anywhere so......I guess the question should be to yourself,,,it if doesn't work out can I handle facing them everyday? not an easy thing to do, believe me.
