My apology for the morbid question, but if given the choice, how would you prefer to lose your life? By falling or drowning? Which is more tragic?

I'd have to say a sinking ship, only because a plane crash seems more violent, also I wouldn't want to chance burning alive inside the plane. Extremely painful death:(

This is a very morbid question but I will entertain you. Dying by being stuck in a ship is terrible because you can witness the rising of the water and know when your last breath is. When you swallow a large amouont of water and run out of hair you also convulse and have painful aneurisms....then you die.
A plane crash is quick because you will either be crushed or be instantly burnt to a crisp due to the heat of the fuel tanks exploding. Are you appy now. I just had images of pearl harbor and 9/11.

Plane crash. Chances are, you'd find out about it closer to the time of the actual crash, and you'd die instantly and painlessly.

Death by sinking ship would be a horrible death. You would be likely to know about your fate hours in advance. Then, you could be subjected to any of these horrible deaths - drowning, suction (by sinking vessel), freezing to death, being eaten by a shark, or possibly if stranded somewhere, starvation.

Although in 2006, option #2 is less likely.

If I had to pick, I'd pick the plane crash. It's over really quick. Drowning would be an awful, slow death because you'd try to swim away, but you keep getting washed under from the waves, and your breathing in the water, and can't get air..... yes, I"d pick the plane crash.

You assume that ship sank means you die from drowning. You could die from hypothermia or sharks, depending on where you are. Any way you slice it, it's going to last a while.

I'll take the plane crash, quick and easy, thank you very much.

I'd rather die by a plance crash, since its more likely to be an instantaneous death. With drowning, there's a huge chance that I'd still suffer while gasping for air!

I guess I'm part of the majority that would rather die by falling. I hate water and had an experience where I almost drowned. It was agonizing. I'd rather fall and have it done with quickly.
