Yes. Oats, especially pure oats is excellent, as it is slow burning, and will make you feel fuller for longer. That way you wont snack before lunch time.
It's also high in fiber, thus good for digestion. Low in sugar and good for you're heart.
Ready-brek might be the easiest to make if you have little time, but if you have time in the morning make some good old fashioned oats in a pot. It's even better because it's more course.
Also not to much sugar or butter for toppings, or else this defeats the purpose.

A decent breakfast (and yes porridge is good) is always best to start the day and makes you less hungry by lunchtime - just go easy on sprinkling too much sugar on it!

The main thing to remember to lose weight is eat a bit less (smaller portions), avoid too many snacks and exercise more.

I only have a cup of coffee for breakfast and I'm a size 0. If you don't eat you wont gain weight!

Yes it is, just eat a normal sized seving of it to kick-start your metabolism every day.
