We were low income,I only had a Mom and 8 brothers and sisters. Our church always gave us bags of food and clothes,I got teased alot in grade school because of high-water pants, and wearing the same thing all the time.In the long run we all graduated some even college, and turned out good hearted people who are very tight siblings!

We were poor. We lived in the projects on hand me downs and free cheese. We only had the option of public school in a neighborhood where every other child in the school lived in the projects. The school sucked. I overcame, my sisters weren't so lucky. Out of the five of us, I was the only one who graduated from high school. I also graduated from college. I am a good hearted person, and I'm sure my sisters are as well, but we're strangers.

I think that we were middle. We really didn't have any money, but we never went without. There were many slim days. Don't know how my parents did it. All 6 of us kids went to private school. My mom didn't work and my dad was a construction worker. I was verbally and sexually abused and compared to my sister. Because of that, I didn't do very well in school. I wasn't my sister....so I wasn't going to be like her. I regret that decision now. All I have is my high school diploma, no college. Hoping to go back one day.

My family was low income, but at that time, there wasn't as much emphasis on labels, so it really didn't matter what our clothes looked like. We were accepted by our peers and had a pretty normal up bringing. My parents did the best they could with what they had.

I grew up on low income, my parents owned they're own business and I never really got to have friends over. So the lack of contact from my peers lables me as wierd. But what's wrong with being wierd?

I was middle class, but from a single parent family, I wore a uniform to school so i didn't have to worry about clothes. i worked from the age of 15 and did a lot of domestic things my friends didn't have to do. Your lucky that you have such a tight family that's awesome and I'm glad that you value it.
