Symantec actually publish an Uninstall tool on there web page. It really gets into every nook and crany of yoiur computer.
I found that new versions often fell over, unless every trace of previous versions were removed, and the onboard Uninstall does not always do it.

Hope this works

this is a common problem, and one of the reasons i wont touch norton with a barge pole
if you go to norton http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/index.jsp,and there should be a link there for a download for a uninstaller, this is a program which uninstalls a norton anti-virus which were a normal uninstaller cant be found
also another way would be to install the program again using the disc you got when you originally installed it and as soon as you have done this uninstall it,this will remove any norton acossociated data and should leave your computer clean of norton, this method works with all software that wont uninstall by normal methods
good luck

Look in the directory where it is installed, It should have it's own uninstaller. Do not do as suggested by one of the previous answers by deleting all the bits you can find. That won't remove it from the registry and will cause you problems

You'll have to go in through my computer, find it and give it a pathway by moving it to 'my programs'
