You can go to da site www.buddy-spy.com and check it out online.Also u can download their software, but i never tried it, coz u can see it directly from their site anyways. It works on yahoo msngr 7 and above.Just type the user id(no need 2 type @yahoo.com) and see. Also u may see their status in ur blog site. This method sometimes gives inaccurate readings.
Another way is doodle method
1. Double Click on the user whose status you want to check.
2. A message window will open.
3. Click IMVironment button, select See all IMVironments, select Yahoo! Tools or Interactive Fun, and click on Doodle.
4. The last step and the most important step. After loading the Doodle IMVironment, there will be two possibilities.
a) If the user is offline, the Doodle area will show “waiting for your friend to load Doodle” continuously.
b) If the user is online (in invisible mode), after few seconds (it can take up to one minute, depending on connection speed), you will get a blank page. So the user is online!

there is one clever way, and that is:
open ur email and send him a massage by "email" not by messenger, then when ur done sending it the yahoo well give u a question if u want to save this mail or not ,look at the mail u sent the massage to then ull see the smile face is yellow, that's when he is online, and even if he was invisible at messenger he cant be at yahoo mail how much he tried

That is impossible..They make a buddy spy program but..it gives tooo many false readings

you dont,they're invisible for a reason, like they dont wanna be interrupted cause there doing something important
