87 octane The best way to tell is keep records record your MPG readings and try this experiment. Get base line readings on regular fuel. Next at the same gas station try two tankfulls of mid grade. If your gas mileage go up your car likes the fuel. One mile a gallon might not be cost effective but two or three change to higher octane

The compression ratio of the engine is the main thing that determines octane requirements. Your motor is 9.5:1, which isn't too high. 87 should be fine. Check the manual.
