They might make fun of poor spelling just "cos". I don't know about the whole of such a diverse religion such as Christianity, but I'm sure selected Christians do. I've seen plenty of Christians living in sin, not practicing what they preach, wanting to wipe out every other belief, and so on. Personally, I am not a Christian because, although I believe in God, I do not believe Jesus Christ was anything other than a wise man.

What makes you think Christians aren't poor? That's like saying all humanists are stupid.

Nope, what's so fun abt to making fun of the poor? We should provide some help to the very poor, like job matching, retraining and some handouts to those who can't work.
I feel that we may be the cause of their plight. coz as economy booms, wages get suppressed and it's the bottom 20% who is the most affected.

Why should we? "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven". A poor person tends to also be poor in spirit, as they have little reason to be joyous, and hence, are blessed.
The poor widow, who gave only two mites (essentially 2 cents), gave far more than the Pharisees who gave tons and tons of money... because she gave 100% of what she owned, whereas the Pharisees gave but only a portion, and Jesus praised her.
We are called to preach the Gospel to the poor.
When preparing a feast, don't bother calling your friends and such, because they're able to pay back the favor. Invite the poor and helpless, because they cannot pay it back... but instead God will pay you back instead.
The only disciple who didn't care about the poor was Judas (that is, the betrayer of Jesus).
Now, knowing all this, (and each of them are paraphrased from the Bible), does it make sense for a Christian to make fun of the poor, when we are called to bless them, and help them? Does it make sense to emulate Judas, and act like the guy who betrayed our Lord? No.
Instead, we are called to love them, help them, preach to them, and lift them up. Doing otherwise is against Jesus' teachings.

People who make fun of a poor person , are very poor ,worst off than the person they make fun of because they are poor in spirit.

Never in my life.
I think you ask a rather unfair question.
I'm Christian and try to live accordingly.
