I don't mean being with somebody for money, but how would you react if your boyfriend/girlfriend lie to you about the money he/she gets?

I actually left my husband partly because of the exact same situation. If you guys are in a committed relationship he should be able to tell you unless he doesn't want you to know he is spending on something. Drinking other women, or in my situation drugs. I believe the only way to make a relationship really work the best is total honesty. Turns out that my husband stole $3000 worth of drugs and they were threatening to kidnap me until he paid them back. So talk to him and let him know that this bothers you and if he cannot be honest than he doesn't really love or respect you. If this bothers you this much you must do something now. Same if it was a girlfriend. No one in a relationship should lie for any reason because you are asking for trouble. Good luck and I hope this helps.

depends on how strong the relationship is
if you r farely well of, and he makes quite a bit and lies to u about it, then he is a nob (not unless he has a very bloody good explanation 4 that) or
if you cant quite make ends meet and he lies about the money, then it can be understandable. everybody needs money to be able to survive.
i think if you are still new in the relationship you can survive on just love
and if you have been together 4 several years, then there should be no lies, both people should be very open minded by then.

Well a good/healthy relationship is one based on trust and honesty. If he/she lied about anything its not good. Money is a very important issue with some folks. Personally I'd be upset because they lied not so much what they lied about. But in this instance it's a unimportant issue so I'd just be mad that they lied. That was redundant, sorry.

money is definitely important, not exactly something someone can live without
money important in a relationship? i think so, cuz i think LOTS of arguments are gonna come up if the bills arent being paid and the couple is living under a bridge

Grrrrr, and yes it does. No relationship can be one sided as a giver, u have to get something in return. Plus, that sounds it is selfish and why should i stay with ehr, if i always am the fiver but not a taker sometimes...

If my husband ever lied to me about money I'd be PISSED. I tell him all the things that I buy and what money I have and I expect the same from him.
