You need to be more sensitive to their needs. Hostages today are educated and aware. They have rich, cut-throat lawyers. It is not like the old days when you could just shove a washcloth in their mouths and wrap them in duct tape. They are considering the idea of a hostage union now too. Think, plan, anticipate. Admit nothing! Deny everything! Make counter accusations!

Don't you realise that people are actually being held hostage at the moment all over the world and you are making fun of it. Grow up and think about what you are doing.

Why have hostages? Is that the only way to get someone to talk to you or pay attention to you? Changing your attitude might be something for you to consider.

yesterday i was really bored so i locked myself in the cupboard for 5 hours and convinced myself i had been taken captive by iraqi extremists. It filled in 5 hours of pure boredom and i may well do it again today. I think hostages are just moaning for the attention.

If they complain, just sing badly or scrape your nails on a black board. It will stop them complaining and if Bat-Man gets you, he cannot get you done under the Geneva convention. You could also try and make them get Stockholm syndrome, that way they will sympathize with you.
