There was a couple in the town I grew up in who could not have children, so they adopted a boy and a girl, neither being the other's biological brother and sister, before they reached the early age of two. I just found out recently that these two fell in love with each other (they are now about 30) got married, and have two biological children of their own. Some from my hometown think this is sick, others see nothing wrong with it. Though I do find it to be somewhat weird and strange, I don't know how I feel about the issue. Do you think this is brother/sister incest, or, since their is no biological tie between the two, do you believe it is O.K. for the two who were once legally each other's brother and sister, to now be each other's legal husband and wife?

The taboo stems from the fact that close relatives have a higher statistical chance of passing on bad genes. Since this is not the case I don't think it's incest. I don't know if there is a psychological reason that these two should not be together as I don't know them.

Well not to point fingers but I do still think that is incest. Because even though there is no dna matching in them. Their parents raised them to be brother and sister. So there is that familal bond there. If nothing else.

Hey, I do find it a little strange, but there is no law against it...so what can we really say about it. I just think in my point of view that I would feel really odd myself, because even though they were not my sibling by blood they still grew up a sibling with me.

I believe so that they should not have been married.a brother and sisiter would be always a brother and a sister .it is wrong even to think about love.I had the same kind of an experience when my cousin brother proposed me and wanted to get married to me but i felt it so uncomfortable to accept him as my husband think how would yu enjoy your sex with your brother.EMBARRISSING.........

It is different, but they were not biologically sister and brother, so I see nothing wrong with it.

People are just that, people, and they are entitled to love no matter what the situation is. Who are we to judge them because they will meet thier maker in the end and He will be the final judge.

I can't say that I see anything wrong with it. I would have thought they would have found others but if they are happy then everyone else should mind their own business.
