The storm here in the north cotswolds is over :(....and I had nobody to share the fun with.

i know lisa p i agree, its a nice feeling to be snuggled up close to a someone special when the storm is here, its so romantic to hear the patter of the rain on your windows, and when the thunder comes its wonderful to get even closer to them......hmmmm well enough said i better get on with my work.

90 mins later and it's just reached northern Home Counties, I love it but it's even better at night wnen the lightning lights up the whole area and the thunder crashes...all that power.
I do have 3 little someones to share it with, my g/children. They're as excited about storms as I am! Oh, and the dog but he's cowering under the table and being pacified by the youngest. What a wimp, lol.

I love watching storms. It's more fun to have someone share the pleasure with you, but even just being on your own is enough.
Best of all, though, is when you find yourself with someone who previously couldn't stand storms - but who decides that he or she likes them, now, because of you.

I like to take a brolly and stand in it love the sound of rain hitting brolly or canvas as lond as im not trying to sleep under the canvas

Yep. Best time to show how tough you are. She's all scared. You're all ra, ra, ra. She looks at you. You wink at her. She quivers, you slide your arms around her. She hears a clap, buries herself in your chest. Smiles. You hold on tight, think when to suggest jumping in puddles. She's all happy she's got you. You're all happy because you get those nice warm hugs where you feel good being needed, for a change.

It depends on where I am. If I'm outside then it's not so much fun. If I'm watching it from the inside (e.g. living room) then it's so much better to share it with somebody special!
