why is my real name showing again in im's when i send it??

pc updated and when i got on it was showing my first and real name in invisible .I dont want real name.I want what i had before.when i send a message it says my real name in the box..Profile is what i want ,but it is not showing

Go to preferences then appearance at the bottem check ID.
