That is already a proven fact. Courts are having trouble with juries. It's what is called "the CSI effect". Juries want to see forensic evidence (regardless of what other evidence there is). The shows also highlight the techniques used by investigators. There are criminals who now 'seed' their own crime scene. They empty ashtrays from public places around their crime scene, they use other forensic evidence to contaminate the crime scene. They are using gloves more and more.
