Depends on what you want to learn. It's very possible a specialized adult school would take you, given that you are old enough to not have to go to public school anymore. For example, I'm currently attending The Spot! [for Computer Learning] in Capitola, California. If you check out schools like that in the area where your cousin is going to be, chances are you will find something useful. Not necessarily programming per se, but things like web design (I'm learning Dreamweaver at The Spot! right now) and using computers to do all sorts of things. Programming, specifically, you can probably get at a good 2-year school, but you may have to wait awhile to be 18 for that. I am told that Cabrillo College in Aptos, California, for example, will take anyone who is old enough to have graduated from high school, whether or not they have a diploma. They repair a lot of otherwise lost careers that way! And you can learn programming from a university extension service, no doubt. University of California at Santa Cruz has a massive extension service program. Most of what it takes to go there is willingness to pay the fees.

I've made it sound like central California is the place to be, haven't I? Actually, there are probably similar programs in or near most good-sized university towns.

Computers are made of MATH. You can't do one without the other. Game or any software design requires a lot of heavy math.
sounds like a good career choice but don't expect a FREE RIDE without learning the math part. Free rides don't last long. Don't be lazy ,do the job right and learn everything even the math. 1+1=2 easy
