Sound like an asshole to me.
My ex would simply tell me to be quite, he's not interested.
But then talk about himself for hours.
I'd say confront him about it and give examples of when or where this happened.
Men are powerless against examples.

Maybe what you're 'babbling' about holds no interest for him. Try and pay attention to what you're saying and how long you're speaking. If you really don't think you are babbling, then point out next time he listens to someone for a long time that in fact, he listens to them for a long time...so why not you?

Also, try just being quiet. He'll likely be so worried something is wrong he'll be begging you to babble :)

Well just because you're babbling...
it doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't like to listen to your voice!

(it just means that the subject matter isn't what he wants to talk about) hehehe

Hm, perhaps it's time to think the relationship through. Confront him about it. Communication helps a lot.

To me that says what you have to say is not important to him! Try talking it out and see where his feelings are really at ??? In any relationship what the other has to say is always important!

Sounds to me as if he were weary of y'all's relationship. Boredom has apparently set in and believe me, if you two don't work to correct it, your relationship will fail.
